At Corriente Veterinary Service we believe that routine annual medical exams, vaccinations, deworming, dental exams and floats are imperative to keeping your horse healthy. Preventive medicine is the foundation of our care. To help you achieve this goal, in a financially conscious way, we offer seasonal discounts to encourage you to provide care for your animal at the time of year that will be most helpful to the animal.

Medical Services

Our examinations, supplemented with appropriate laboratory tests, help us diagnose and treat a large variety of medical conditions such as:

Lameness Services

Corriente Veterinary Service is well-equipped to diagnose and treat a large range of lamenesses and injuries. Our lameness services include:

  • Portable digital radiography (X-Ray)

  • IRAP (Interlueken-1 Receptor Agonist Protein)
  • Joint injections
  • In-house joint lavage

We provide full-service reproductive care for your stallion,mare, and foal. We utilize ultrasonographic imaging along with uterine cultures, uterine biopsies, and in-house semen evaluation to aid in the following reproductive areas:

  • Artificial insemination using shipped, cooled semen
  • Infertility diagnosis and treatment
  • Pregnancy diagnosis and management
  • Pregnant mare care
  • New foal care, including intensive care and round-the-clock treatment
  • Plasma transfusions
